Hello, World!
On February 13th, 2025, ENPHO officially comes to life! Engineering in Photographer's Approach (ENPHO) is now a Registered Student Organization at the University of Washington, and this date marks the beginning of our journey.ENPHO was founded to bring together people who are passionate about photography and engineering, merging the ability to see and appreciate beauty and innovation into something truly unique. Our mission is to apply engineering technologies to imaging and observational challenges, while learning, growing, and creating together in fun and impactful ways.In this starting semester, we've set our sights on our first project - build a more stable and cost-efficient wildlife observation camera. Our project will be built around the ESP-32 CAM module, leveraging its compact size, built-in camera, and wireless capabilities to capture and transmit wildlife footage. We plan to integrate motion detection, low-power operation, and possibly AI-based image recognition to enhance its functionality. This will be a great learning experience as we explore embedded systems, IoT, and real-time image processing.We are also planning at least two field trips this semester around Seattle for images and data collection.To gain an insight of our club, please refer to our forum.
